Dear Parents and Guardians of our School,

I, my wife Irina and daughter Victoria are excited and pleased to be part of your international family in Wroclaw this September. I married my wife (twice!! in one year), first in a Russian registry office and then in an Orthodox church; Victoria was blessed upon us about two years later. Victoria is just finishing Year 7 and has had a totally international education, she excels in languages as a result. I must not forget one other member of our family, namely Maxamillion (Maxy), our little West Highland Terrier who has endured our travels bravely (he’s not very fond of flying!).

Of course you must be more than curious about us! Well, we are a family who has travelled quite widely; I have taught and been Headteacher in the U.K, Czech Republic, Russia, Austria, and Cyprus, with my girls being with me for most of these experiences. I am a Master of Education and hope my qualifications and experience will assure you of my dedication to provide your child with the best education possible.

Of course in all the schools I have worked in we have had very diverse communities (up to 75 nationalities), so I hope we can foster and build upon the World school we already have in Wroclaw. The first thing I want for us is the International School’s Award from the United Kingdom that will see us working with schools around the world on Comenius projects; it will increase our students’ knowledge of their world surroundings, and give them further appreciation of the diversity of cultures.

Well I think that’s all for now, apart from to inform you that I operate an open door policy to myself for all students, staff and parents, and hope you will take the opportunity to pop in and meet me whenever you wish. We look forward to meeting you all soon.
