Chris Kosacki

Hello. This is Chris Kosacki. I'm new at BISC Wroclaw. I teach economics and business studies. I teach Year 12. I'm happy to join BISC staff and contribute to this wonderful multicultural school.

I am a fully qualified teacher. I am doing my master studies in finance at Wroclaw University of Economics. I also hold an English Philology degree. I possess some banking experience and many years teaching Business English experience in companies all over Poland. I also have vast teenager teaching experience which I gained in various summer camps in UK and in Polish private language schools.

My work is my passion because every day I deal with many interesting people. I can share my knowledge about economics and business. Every day I not only teach, but also learn something new from my students. Seeing my students enjoying classes, being proud of themselves when they pass exams gives me satisfaction.

I'm blessed to be teaching such fascinating and practical subjects as economics and business studies. They cover everyday life matters and aid people in reaching crucial lifetime decisions. Their importance cannot be overestimated: which bank to choose when applying for a mortgage? When to buy/sell a car? How to start/manage my own company? How to fill in my tax form? How to invest cash surplus?

In my private life I socialize with my friends, go out, listen to music or study. I always have something to do. I am never bored. I learn foreign languages and constantly look for new challenges. I also translate various documents (mostly legal) and conduct professional training courses to managers in various companies in Wroclaw.

I find myself lucky to settle down in Wroclaw (("wroclove" as some call it (quite rightly)). I was not born here, but I feel at home in this beautiful, "young" and academic city. It inspires me every day and fills me up with enthusiasm (just like teaching).

Should you have any questions or want to talk about economics/business or just anything do not hesitate to strike up a discussion. I'll probably be sitting in the staff room perusing my economic volumes :) Good luck with the new academic year.
