Hiroko NagaiHello, My name is Hiroko Nagai and I am from Japan. I am the Japanese Coordinator at BISC. I have been teaching both Japanese and the piano at BISC, Wroclaw. I graduated from Kunitachi College of Music in Japan, after that I moved to Warsaw, living there for two years whilst learning the piano at Chopin University. After finishing my studies I worked at the International School in Tokyo as a music teacher. In 2010 I moved to Wroclaw. I am very happy to be in Wroclaw and pleased to be working in BISC, Wroclaw. I decided I wanted to live in Poland when I first heard Chopin's music as a child. My greatest passion in life is playing the piano. Playing music affords me the opportunity to speak sincerely, to open one's soul to spirituality and beauty which is usually hidden within the mind. It combines musical sensitivity, deep emotions and intellect. There are some Japanese cultural festival events in Poland. I have had a great opportunity to play at the concerts and show how Japanese culture exists in Poland. I am very pleased to be able to demonstrate Japanese culture to people from other countries. We have a Japanese Cultural Centre in BISC, Wroclaw. There are many beautiful Japanese seasonal events in Japan. I sometimes organize Japanese cultural events for children through our Cultural Centre. It is an excellent opportunity to experience and learn about Japanese culture, especially for children. I would like to show them how beautiful the Japanese culture is. Please come anytime to visit our Centre. |
