Iwona SokołowskaMy name's Iwona Sokołowska and I am EAL (English as an Additional Language) teacher for primary children. I was a student of the Teacher Training College of Foreign Lanuages in Wroclaw. I am also a graduate of Wroclaw University - Institute of English Philology. My teaching practice began when I was still a student and discovered that teaching English is great fun! I have taught students of different age, origin, social background and with different levels of knowledge of the language. I am very happy to work in a multinational school where we learn how to be positive and tolerant towards people of different origin, colour of skin and religious beliefs. The main objective of my classes is to help children get to the required level of English as soon as possible. I want to build up children's confidence and self-esteem and encourage them to believe they can succeed. I want to create and maintain a happy working environment. I want to establish good relationships with the classes as a whole and with the individuals. I want my young students to say, ' Ms Iwona is fair, patient, caring, affectionate, kind, funny, listens to you, helps you, makes you work, treats you as a 'person', tells you off if necessary, but doesn't get angry or shout'. In what remains of my time, I love reading books, listening to music and watching good films. I only wish I had more time to take up Irish dancing lessons again. I wish you and your children a great year in Wroclaw! |
